Lesley MacGregor is an award-winning photographer living in Vancouver, British Columbia.
Her architectural and landscape photographs accentuate minimalism, geometric planes, and luminance. Inspired by abstract expressionism and modern architecture, her photographs are distilled to the essential through abstraction and the elimination of context.
Lesley explores how our own perceptions and the ephemeral quality of our memories shape our view of the world. Her buildings and landscapes are seen through the lens of our unreliable memories, the distortions of time, and the idiosyncrasies of our mind.
Lesley’s work has been recognized by the Prix de la Photographie Paris - PX3, The Minimalist Photography Awards, and International Photography Awards (IPA). It has also been published in photography books and magazines, and exhibited in the Lower Mainland, including at the Ferry Building in West Vancouver. Her work is held in private and corporate collections in North America and Europe.
