This assemblage is part of a series about home and identity. Using found materials, Vanessa Lam interprets the home as a compartmentalized reflection of ourselves. Some parts we open up to others while others stay hidden. These miniature "interiors" speaks to this hidden inner world of our thinking process. The wire chair sculptures play on the idea of "rearranging our mental furniture" and how thinking can often feel like physical exertion.
